Welcome to our blog!
I am not sure how much writing we will do but we will be adding pictures from time to time. We began our blog in Romania where we lived for over nine years. The Lord called us to Romania in 1998 (arriving in Feb. 1999). We had an amazing adventure with Him. He allowed us to see him minister in many ways in Romania. We were able to see first hand political and economic changes but also enjoy its beauty when we were out in the countryside. Checkout the Bucharest and Romania slideshows on this blog.
We are now back in Texas waiting to see what the Lord has planned for us.
Easter picture
Easter in Romania is celebrated according to the Orthodox calendar. It came on April 27th, 5 weeks after non-Orthodox countries celebrated. After church we had lunch with some of our colleagues at Floyd and Freda's home. We enjoyed being with them and eating all the yummy food. I took the opportunity to make sure we had a new picture of us taken.
BCA Junior/Senior Prom April 26, 2008
Another last for Kyle, attending prom as a senior.
This year's theme was A Whole New World. Prom was held at the Persia Restaurant. They ate Middle Eastern cuisine.
Since it is hard to find a florist here to make corsages I made the corsage for Kyle's date and his boutonnière. Kyle's date wore a black and white dress but her favorite color is orange.
The young men and women at the prom.
During the evening the seniors read their wills. Then a Junior read to them their futures. Here is Matews reading Kyle's future.
The Class of 2008 with Tony and Chrissy Barbusca, chaperones for the event!
Matews (MK from Brazil) and Kyle wishing they could try out the water pipe.
After prom some of the students went to Tineretului Park to walk around and also ride bumper cars. Here is Kyle, Rachael, Alyssa, and Kyle. They later went to midnight mass at an Orthodox Church since it was Orthodox Easter. They finished the night at McDonalds.
Our Cristea boys
Friday, April 25th Roger and I spent the evening with Dan, Adina, Alex, and Andrei Cristea and Dan's father who was visiting. Alex is our 3 year old godson. Since both of our families had plans for Easter we celebrated with them that evening.
.
Andrei is 15 months old now. He is growing up and does not look like a little baby anymore. Here is he with his Mom, Adina.
For Easter along with some candy we gave them matching shirts and books. The boys sat still a few moments for me to get a fews pictures of them. Of course Alex decided for one picture he needed to make a face.

BCA's Annual Elementary Music Program and Talent Show
During the past few years Bucharest Christian Academy has held an elementary music program and talent show in the springtime. We get to see first hand the talent of the students at BCA through singing, playing musical instruments, and skits.
The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders sang and played the handbells.
Our colleagues, the Carnes' son, Samuel (2nd from the left) playing the recorder.
Our colleagues, the Brown's daughter, Katelyn is in the middle playing the recorder.
Talent Show
Kyle and Jonathan were the emcees at the talent show.

In Cap and Gown
Time is fast approaching to see Kyle and his classmates receive their high school diplomas. Recently Mrs. Barbusca, their English teacher and the yearbook advisor, took Kyle and of his classmates (one was missing) out to have pictures taken in caps and gowns. Here are just a few of the many taken. They went into a historical part of Bucharest to have pictures taken. Some were taken in the inner courtyard of a monastery. You will be seeing the funny side of Kyle in many of these pictures.
Hey there!
Mrs. Barbusca taking Kyle's picture. The second picture is not good of Kyle but I wanted to point out the carvings behind Kyle. This was at the monastery.
