Welcome to our blog!
I am not sure how much writing we will do but we will be adding pictures from time to time. We began our blog in Romania where we lived for over nine years. The Lord called us to Romania in 1998 (arriving in Feb. 1999). We had an amazing adventure with Him. He allowed us to see him minister in many ways in Romania. We were able to see first hand political and economic changes but also enjoy its beauty when we were out in the countryside. Checkout the Bucharest and Romania slideshows on this blog.
We are now back in Texas waiting to see what the Lord has planned for us.
Spring break for Kyle
Kyle and friends spent two days (April 2-3) in Constanta (port on the Black Sea) during their week of spring break. They enjoyed walking the beach even though it was cool. They saw President Bush's motorcade (flew into the base at Constanta and headed to Bucharest for the NATO Summit). They also enjoyed playing pool at the facility where they stayed.
The two Kyles.

A Wonderful break from the big city

It was a hazing morning but we still were able to see the metal cross on the mountain at Busteni.
The view of the mountains from the back side of Busteni were beautiful. We were nearly to Bran when I took this picture.
Bran Castle, a medieval castle dates back to the 1300's. It became one of the royal family's residencies in the 1920's. Queen Maria used the castle as her main residency.

Here we all are smiling for the camera. Maricatherine Carnes helped Roger with the PowerPoint of songs during the worship time.
As we were departing Bran I wanted one more picture of the haystack on Roger's side of the van. Roger pointed out on my side of the van was another interesting picture, two men loading hay into a wagon.
Throughout the countryside we have seen many icons (crosses mostly). We passed this little roadside chapel with a cross on the inside as we were returning to Bucharest. While enjoying looking at the flowering trees we noticed the woman carrying a heavy load of wood on her back. Life is hard out in the countryside.
The Shepherd
During the past few years there has been one picture I have not been able to get, a shepherd in a sheepskin coat. Yes we see shepherds when outside of Bucharest but not in the winter when they are wearing a sheepskin coat. Freda Angeletti called me Sunday March 30th to say they had seen a shepherd in a sheepskin coat and taken pictures. Here are three pictures they took of the shepherd and his sheep including the new lambs.

Easter March 23rd
Happy Easter to all of you who live west of us or are Catholic. In Romania and other Orthodox countries we will not celebrate Easter until April 27th. In fact it is at the same time as Passover. We pray you have a very special day celebrating our Lord's resurrection. Paşte Fericit!
Spring
I love spring! A time of new life! Trees are budding out in Bucharest.
I do miss Tyler Texas in the spring. I miss seeing dogwood trees, redbud trees, crepe myrtles, azaleas, and many more. We can buy daffodils, tulips and many more flowers at the flowers stands which help make spring special. We hope you have a very special springtime where you live.

8 Martie (March 8th) Ziua Femei (Women's Day)

Alex glued the flowers and sprinkled on the glitter.
Psalm 1:1-3- "Blessed is the man... who finds his delight is in the law of the LORD... He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither."
BCA Worship Night March 7th
We enjoyed a time of praising the Lord at BCA's Worship Night. It was neat seeing the students take charge of this event. There are some very special students at BCA. They understand how important the relationship with the Lord is and how they need to stand up for Him.
Sarah, Sarah, and Matews led us in praising the Lord through songs, scripture reading and prayer.
